DOUBLE D’S DIRTY DOGS

New York Hotdog & Knish Joint

New York - 2021

︎Creative Direction ︎Visual Identity ︎Illustrations ︎Collateral Design ︎Environmental Design

Summary

Double D’s Dirty Dogs is a bold, artisanal hot dog and knish restaurant in the Lower East Side. I led the creation of the complete visual identity, including logo, color palette, and visual system. Additionally, I designed printed collateral such as menus, event flyers, and storefront board menus, digital assets for social media platforms, and exterior signage and storefront elements, including colors, awnings, and lighting.

The scope of work included:

  1. Visual Identity: Developed a fun and eye-catching logo and visual system inspired by old-school Coney Island aesthetics, balancing nostalgia with modern energy.

  2. Collateral Design: Created printed materials including menus, flyers, and promotional assets, ensuring the brand identity is consistently applied across all touchpoints.

  3. Environmental Design: Designed exterior and interior visual elements, including storefront colors, awnings, lighting, and signage, to enhance the dining experience and brand presence.

  4. Digital Design: Produced social media assets aligned with the brand’s identity to promote events and menu offerings.

Goal

The goal of this project was to establish a bold and playful brand identity for Double D’s Dirty Dogs that communicates the fun, nostalgic Coney Island vibe while emphasizing quality food and fast service. The logo, color palette, and visual system were designed to deliver a cohesive, memorable brand experience across print, digital, and physical environments. Every element was created to reinforce the restaurant’s core values and engage customers consistently.

Client

Double D’s Dirty Dogs is a sub-brand of Coming Soon Food Group, launched in 2021 in the heart of New York’s Lower East Side. The location quickly gained recognition among top hot dog experiences in the city and is praised for its unique style, high-quality offerings, and playful dining atmosphere.
